Our Mission On Tour

Playing tours began in the early 1990’s when Ambassadors took both women’s and men’s teams to locations around the world to use football as a platform for sharing their faith. From the national stadiums of South Africa and Bangladesh, to the manicured village pitches of the Czech Republic, the futsal courts of Spain and Serbia, and to the dirt pitches of Africa, these teams have risen to the challenge of bringing a new hope to the hopeless.

Over the last two years, Ambassadors has taken women’s tours to Peru, Mexico, and Rwanda. We’ve seen God bring together unique groups of elite players from around the world to come together for one purpose: to share the love of Christ through football. Each of these tours have included indignous football outreach, game matches against local and national teams, opportunities for players to share their testimonies of the ways God has worked in their lives, bible studies and discipleship within the teams, and true transformation by the work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of many.

Jesus leaves his disciples with these words, known as the Great Commission:

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 24:18-20

The heartbeat of these tours is to make Jesus known in every nation, through the passions that that the world shares in the game of football. We believe that God wants to continue to do more through these tours and through the players that have said yes to being apart of the Lord’s work through Ambassadors Cleveland.
